The Harbour Master is so named for the commanding view of the Saint John port from the large attached sitting room. It is unlikely that the room was ever occupied by an actual harbour master but it is thought to have been the home to several of the Roberts fleet captains when they called on Saint John or readied for the launch of their new vessels.

Today this large suite of rooms is ideal for visiting families or an extended stay by business travelers. The main bedroom is furnished with an impressive four poster 1830's Cannonball Bed that is a distinct highlight of this well lit and very spacious suite. The original bed's mattress was probably filled with dried grass and goose down suspended by a rope framework but we have given this up for a more modern pillow top queen size mattress. The sitting room has a unique built in Mates Bed that dates back to a 1930's renovation. It is perfect for an afternoon snooze or for families traveling with children. The business traveler will find this room ideal for an office on the go with a large work space, private telephone and data port hookups.

As with all the rooms at Homeport there is a private ensuite bathroom with an antique roll rim tub/shower, fresh and fluffy towels and robes as befitting our 5 star service. The Harbour Master bathroom has several unique decorating touches befitting the maritime heritage prominent in the overall decor.
